Scrolling down on the Squad game page, you will find the Squad Workshop section.

In your Steam Client, go to your Library, then select "Squad" from your games list. Basically force steam to check the mod directory and compare it to the current workshop listing and resolve any inconsistencies with version or if I am subscribed to them at all.Guide Downloading a Mod (Workshop) I don't want to detect out of date mods, but mods that are not their latest version uploaded or not present/still present after unsubscription. You will need to check the mods themselves. As such it has no way to detect incompatibility and remove mods based on version. But since mods are maintained by modders it cannot tell when a mod is compatible with the current version. Originally posted by Cryten:Steam workshop will automatically update mods. *edit* A good example recently in stellaris was glavius` AI mod which was ment to be quite fine with 2.2.7 but turned out to cause issues with job assignments causing ruler and specilist unemployment. These things steam has no way to tell, it is entirely the mod makers design integrating with the game that determines these things.īasically tons of things could go wrong with a automatic detection system for out of date mods. Then you can get into cross mod compatibility problems.

However in the past I have experienced mod makers who have claimed that their mod does not need updating for the current version which would subsequently cause problems with said new update. I imagine a basic system of having mods state they are designed for a particular version would be possible. Steam workshop will automatically update mods.
